This policy explains how Tacoter uses cookies and similar technologies on tacoter.com and on the ordering sites we host.
Table of contents
2. How We Use Cookies
- Essential: sign-in sessions, cart contents, language preference, security and fraud prevention. These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics: page views, add-to-cart and checkout events used to measure ordering-site performance and run A/B tests.
- Marketing: only where a restaurant enables campaign attribution, to measure whether an email or social post led to an order.
3. Types of Cookies
- Session cookies expire when you close your browser (for example, the cart on an ordering site).
- Persistent cookies last for a set period (for example, staying signed in for 30 days).
- First-party cookies are set by Tacoter; third-party cookies are set by our vendors.
4. Third-Party Cookies
- Stripe — fraud detection and secure card fields during checkout.
- Cloudflare — bot protection and content delivery.
- Google Analytics — aggregate traffic measurement, where enabled.
- Mapbox — map tiles and address autocomplete.
5. Managing Cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking essential cookies will break sign-in and checkout. You can also enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser; we honor GPC signals as opt-out requests.
6. Cookie Consent
Where required by law, we show a consent banner before setting analytics or marketing cookies, and record your choice. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie link in the footer, or by clearing cookies for the site.
