How to use Menu AI features

Let's explore the different ways Tacoter's AI can supercharge your menu management. Remember, our AI is a fantastic assistant, but always give its suggestions a quick review before saving!

1. Generate Appetizing Descriptions

Bland menu descriptions? Not anymore! Our AI can whip up enticing descriptions for your menu items, making your dishes sound as delicious as they taste.

1. Navigate to Menu from your Dashboard at tacoter.com/dashboard/menu.
2. Select the specific menu item you want to enhance.
3. Look for the description field and click the Generate Description button (or similar prompt).
4. The AI will suggest an appetizing description.
5. Review the suggested text carefully. Make any edits to perfectly capture your dish's essence and brand voice.
6. Click Save to update your menu item.

2. Create Stunning Food Photos

No professional photographer on staff? No problem! Our AI can generate beautiful food photos for menu items that currently don't have one, helping your dishes stand out visually.

1. Go to your Menu at tacoter.com/dashboard/menu.
2. Select a menu item that is missing an image.
3. Locate the image upload area and click the Generate Image button (or similar prompt).
4. The AI will create a high-quality image based on the item's name and description.
5. Review the generated image. If it's not quite right, you can try generating another or upload your own.
6. Click Save to add the new image to your menu item.

3. Digitize Your Paper Menu with Menu Scanner

Say goodbye to manual data entry! Our Menu Scanner uses AI to quickly extract items and prices from a photograph of your physical menu, creating a draft batch for you to review.

1. Navigate to Menu Scanner at tacoter.com/dashboard/menu/scanner.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to photograph your paper menu. Ensure the photo is clear and well-lit.
3. The AI will process the image and extract menu items, descriptions, and prices.
4. A batch of proposed new menu items will appear. Carefully review each item. Check for accuracy in names, prices, and descriptions. Make any necessary edits.
5. Once you're satisfied, click Approve Batch to add these items to your digital menu. If there are any items you don't want to add, simply deselect them before approving.

4. Invent New Dishes with Recipe Generator

Feeling uninspired? Our Recipe Generator can suggest exciting new dishes based on ingredients you already have on hand, helping you innovate and reduce waste.

1. Visit the Recipe Generator at tacoter.com/dashboard/menu/recipe-generator.
2. Enter the ingredients you have in your inventory.
3. The AI will suggest new recipe ideas.
4. Review the suggested recipes. You might find your next bestseller!

5. Optimize Your Pricing with AI Suggestions

Get smart about your prices! Our AI can offer data-driven pricing suggestions to help you maximize profitability and stay competitive.

1. Head to Menu Pricing Suggestions at tacoter.com/dashboard/menu/pricing.
2. The AI will analyze various factors to suggest optimized prices for your menu items.
3. Review the suggested prices. Consider your costs, target margins, and market positioning before making changes.
4. Apply the suggestions you agree with.

Important AI Reminders

• Always Review: While our AI is incredibly powerful, it's an assistant, not a replacement for your expertise. Always review any text or images generated by AI before saving.
• El Jefe Chat: For quick questions or specific actions, use El Jefe Chat by clicking the chat icon at the bottom right of any dashboard page. El Jefe Chat can help in English or Spanish, matching your preference. Any changes it proposes will appear as a preview card for your confirmation. Unconfirmed previews expire after 15 minutes.
• Undo Changes: Most individual changes you make can be undone within 24 hours from your action card in the dashboard. For bulk actions (up to 500 items), approval lists every individual change, and bulk undo is all-or-nothing.
