Configuring Delivery
Getting your delicious tacos delivered right to your customers' doors is a fantastic way to grow your business! This guide will show you how to set up delivery options on your Tacoter platform, so you can start reaching more hungry customers today.
Why Offer Delivery?
Offering delivery means your customers can enjoy your amazing food from the comfort of their homes or offices. It opens up a whole new way for people to order from your taqueria, bringing in more sales without any third-party commissions eating into your profits. And don't worry, pickup orders will always be available too!
Setting Up Your Delivery Options
Here’s how to get your delivery service up and running:
- Log in to your Tacoter Dashboard. This is where you manage everything for your restaurant. [[screenshot: Tacoter Dashboard home screen]]
- Navigate to Settings. Look for the "Settings" option in your dashboard menu, usually on the left-hand side or top. Click on it.
- Find the Delivery Section. Within "Settings," you'll see different sections. Locate the one specifically for "Delivery."
- Turn Delivery On or Off.
- To start offering delivery, simply toggle the switch to On.
- If you need to pause delivery for any reason (like a busy night or staff shortage), you can easily toggle it back to Off. [[screenshot: Delivery settings page with toggle for on/off]]
- Set Your Delivery Fee. Decide how much you want to charge customers for delivery. Enter your desired fee in the designated field. A common fee helps cover your delivery costs.
- Establish Your Minimum Order Amount. This is the smallest amount a customer needs to spend to qualify for delivery. Setting a minimum helps ensure deliveries are profitable for you.
- Define Your Delivery Area.
- This is crucial! You'll need to specify the geographical area your delivery drivers will cover. This might be done by drawing a service area on a map or by entering zip codes.
- Make sure your delivery area is realistic for your team to handle efficiently.
- Enter Estimated Delivery Times. Let your customers know roughly how long their order will take to arrive after they place it. This helps manage expectations and keeps customers happy.
- Save Your Changes. Once you've set all your preferences, don't forget to click the Save or Update button to apply your new settings. Your delivery options will now be live on your online ordering website! [[screenshot: Save button highlighted at the bottom of the settings page]]
